I think that people can relate to family. There is a person that watches the show because they want to see what I am going to create. There is a person that watches the show because they want to see my family.

The worst part about ALS is that one day, you're able to brush your teeth; then you'll never be able to brush your teeth again. One day, you're able to walk - you're never going to walk again.

I looked her in the eye, and I told her, 'Ma, I owe everything to you, and I couldn't be who I am without you. You're my No. 1 girl, and I'll always love you.' And I got to say my piece, I got to say goodbye to her - which was tough.
