The fact is I've been the kind of parent who has been there at every single sports day, my kids are achievers at school, scoring fantastic grades, they're part of the football and hockey team. In that aspect, people always saw me as a parent whose children have always gone from strength to strength.

I have become this country's agony aunt as I am doling out relationship tips through various publications. I spotlight the problems and give solutions. It's wonderful to know that so many people respond, it's a responsibility.

Single parenting isn't easy, but it's a choice I made and as with everything else in my life it's been a 'give it your 100 per cent or don't do it.'

I have had relationships that have not worked out in the past, my marriage didn't work out technically in the past but I look back at all my relationships with great love and affection.
