I was at business school doing pretty well for myself, had a few offers from some great companies. But when I traveled across the world, I was shocked by just how much pain, struggle, and anguish people had to go through to have basic necessities.

Often, we think of change as being raising a million dollars or helping 100,000 people. But true change, real change could be just calling one person who you know is lonely every single day.

But when I lived as a monk, solitude is often spoken of as a strength. And so the first thing I'd recommend is finding one thing that you can do every single day that brings you joy. It may be reading a book you love. It may be looking at a beautiful piece of art.

Becoming a monk was a hard decision. Leaving being a monk was harder, but it's given me so much faith in my ability to transition, and that what I learned as a monk can still serve me.

I see my whole 20s as a massive experiment. So were my teens. I think the problem is that we're not encouraged to experiment; we're encouraged to decide and choose, be singular and focused. You can't be that until you experiment. You don't know what's going to work until you try it.

How do we merge entertainment and education? We live in a world where entertainment wins, but if entertainment can have an educational heart, then we can really change people's lives.

When I became a monk, it didn't feel like I was giving up that much. I actually felt like I had made the best decision, because anyone who hadn't focused on building themselves up was the one losing out.

As a Millennial and Gen Z expert at Accenture I had the opportunity to host and lead several workshops and panels with key clients at industry events. The topics ranged from virtual reality to blockchain; artificial intelligence to machine learning.

What you smell has a big impact on how you feel.

If there's something you really love, something that you're excited to learn, something that you're energized when you hear about, speak about, or read about, that's where you want to throw your energy.

Social media is not going away and we're not all going to leave our phones for good. But we can make sure we don't look at our phones in the morning and the evening, which is better for our lifestyle.

My favorite way to learn is to speak to people who are already doing I want to do.

We often refer to loneliness as something negative. And we look at it as a weakness.

I feel that most of our pain from the loss of a loved one is things we never said or expressed.

If we don't choose to intentionally and consciously slow down and stop being in a rush, your body and mind will force you to do it anyway.

Expectations are not based on reality. They are observations, expected realities, or beliefs of what you think will happen. Expectations of others stop us from acting as our highest selves and reaching our full potential.

To me an influencer must embody 2 critical skills, continuous learning and storytelling. Accenture enabled me to accelerate my learning about exponential technologies and how they were impacting businesses, the economy and the world.

Instead of trying to get work, focus on your network. People will play a huge part in directing your growth and investing in relationships is critical no matter what you want to do.

I'm really fortunate that I get to work with amazing partners that thankfully want to work with me because of what I stand for.
