Slider is the kind of band I would be a fan of if I played in it or not. It's something I'll be able to grow with artistically as an equal member. I'd rather take the risk.

I don't think Sting knows much of anything about the Vandals. But you know who Sting does like? Sting really likes Devo.

I love P.F. Chang's.

I do have that kind of weird, kooky, kitschy part of my personality, and it's just the way I've always been.

All the direct-to-fan stuff that I sold and wacky stuff that I participated in was a great success in my opinion.

I'm not a big fan of saying to people, 'You have to play like this' or 'You can't play that,' because a lot of the time, those things that you're taught in music class or wherever don't translate to the real world.

I like pretty stuff, I like hard stuff, I like sad stuff and I like super-punk stuff.

The Vandals aren't a full-time job; we play gigs here and there. It's more of a labor of love that I do for fun.
